What is Antenatal Beauty Treatments?
As well as being a time of great change, pregnancy is also a time when most women are more health conscious than they have ever been before, but maintaining a sense of well-being throughout pregnancy is harder to achieve.
What Antenatal Beauty Treatments can include:
Spas and beauty salons recognise that many pregnant women could use a helping hand and have developed treatment packages suitable for women at different stages of pregnancy, such as pregnancy massage.
Treatments to be avoided include anything that involves a sauna or steam, procedures that raise body temperature, pressure point massages, or any electrical treatments. There are also a number of products and chemicals that should not be used when pregnant. There are however a growing list of treatments that have been developed and are suitable.
Check with the individual Spa for their specific offerings but always get a consultation first.
