Are You Homeopathically Aware
30 May 2007
Over 30 million people in the UK and Europe use homeopathy to treat everyday ailments. Natural, safe and effective, homeopathy also has many well-known fans including the Queen, Sadie Frost, David Beckham and Sir Paul McCartney.
Homeopathy Awareness Week 2007 is 14-21 June and an increasing number of people are seeking a natural way of treating their health. Latest research shows that two out of three consumers today either already use complementary therapies (including homeopathy) or would consider doing so. This year's campaign focuses on children’s health and how to use homeopathic remedies in treating everyday family ailments.
To mark the week, Nelsons Pharmacy, London's original homeopathic pharmacy, is holding a series of special consumer events to provide an introduction to Healing Through Homeopathy. During Homeopathy Awareness Week, visitors will be able to learn about this natural system of healing, put their questions to leading practitioners and benefit from a free mini-consultation. Topics will include:
•14th June: Common ailments – from work-related stress to headaches and hangovers
•16th June: Children's health - from colds and stomach upsets to warts and eczema
•19th June: First aid for the family – from cuts and bruises to travel sickness and sunburn
All events will take place at Nelsons Homeopathic Pharmacy, 73 Duke Street, London W1K 5BY.
Nelsons are also launching a new FREE guide for consumers called Healing Through Homeopathy. Written in association with Registered Homeopath Laura Kenyon LCH, RSHom, the guide will provide jargon-free, practical information and advice – ideal for everyone from the novice upwards:
“Despite a growing interest in healing in natural ways, there are still many myths and misunderstandings around homeopathy out there today. This guide will answer all the most commonly asked questions, clear up any confusion, and be a practical keep-at-home source of homeopathic solutions for common ailments,” comments Laura Kenyon.
Homeopathic remedies are now widely available and can be found in many good pharmacies and health food stores, and as packaging can now include information about the conditions the product treats, homeopathy will be easier for the consumer than ever before.
Spaces at Nelsons Pharmacy special events are limited, so pre-registration is essential. Places are free and can be registered at www.nelsonshp.com
